INFO SCIENCE: Ran across two resources for informatics peeps today:

The ugly, but useful, World List of Departments and Schools of Information Studies, Information Management, Information Systems, etc. What fun it must be to try and keep track of every informatics program on earth. Glad someone is doing it; glad it's not me.

CMPros is a "membership organization that fosters the sharing of content management information, practices, and strategies." Might be worth a look. Dues are $50/year.

Comments:
That content management pros site is a total crock. The best content managers in existence are bloggers. They've been doing it a lot longer and in a lot of cases better than the new kids on the block. Just read their mission statement, it's so full of market speak somewhere the ad guy creamed his jeans writing it - and I quote:
"As we grow, we will work closely with other organizations that share many of our goals, such as AIfIA, AIIM, ASIST, STC, and others. We will coordinate our thinking about recommended standards for best practices with standards organizations like ANSI, DIN, and ISO."

WTF does that mean? That's 6 acronyms and I only know two.
